Health care of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Samarkand State Medical Institute has suffered a great loss.
The inevitable death has taken the famous therapist, skillful doctor, doctor of medical sciences, professor, head of the department № 1 of Samarkand State Medical Institute, head of the scientific department of the institute Toirov Erkin Sanatovich.
Erkin Sanatovich Toirov was born in 1965 in Kattakurgan city of Samarkand region.
In 1988, he graduated from Samarkand State Medical Institute with honors and his whole life became connected with his alma mater and 1-clinic.
E.S. Toirov passed all stages of professional development at Institute - in 1988-1991 he was a post-graduate student, in 1991-1998 he was an assistant of the Department of Faculty Therapy, Head of Marketing Department, in 1999-2002 he was a doctoral candidate of the Department of Therapy №1, in 2002-2007 he was assistant of the Department of Therapy of General Practitioners №2, in 2007-2012 Associate Professor of the Department of Therapy of General Practitioners №1, from 2012 to the present time he worked as head of the Department of Internal Medicine №1 and Phthisiology at the same time the head of the scientific department of the Institute.
E.S. Toirov was the author of more than 250 scientific works, 5 monographs, 2 study guides, 20+ teaching aids published in the leading national and foreign publications, he managed to prepare 1 PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) on therapy. Actively engaged in scientific work, the scientist has participated in many prestigious conferences in the republic, CIS countries and Europe, and his scientific activity has been marked by numerous prestigious diplomas and certificates.
During the leadership of E.S. Toirov's scientific department, the students of SamMI annually won first places at international and national Olympiads and conferences, and his scientific work at the institute has achieved significant success.
As an outstanding physician-therapist with extensive clinical experience and deep knowledge, E.S. Toirov made an invaluable contribution to the recovery of hundreds and thousands of patients, due to his humanity and simplicity, he rightfully enjoyed genuine respect among them.
Erkin Toirov was an exemplary family man, a caring father and beloved grandfather. He was a friendly, sincere, kind and wonderful person, who was loved and respected by all people around him.
Erkin Sanatovich Toirov died at the age of 55 after a long illness on October 20, 2020.
