One of the important directions of activity of any higher education institution, an integral guarantee of high quality of education and its competitiveness is international cooperation.
So, in recent years, the Samarkand State Medical Institute (SamSMI) and Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) defined new vectors of partnership in the educational and scientific spheres with the development of promising plans to create a platform for academic mobility of students, researchers and academic staff. A significant role in the ideological substantiation and implementation of the planned plans of this cooperation, undoubtedly, belongs to the heads of partner universities - Rector of SamSMI, Prof. J.A. Rizaev and Rector of BSMU, Prof. V.N. Pavlov, who pay great attention to the expansion of the sphere of practical interests and results of joint scientific activity, educational and methodical work and training of qualified personnel.
The partnership between SamSMI and BSMU became one of the planned points for implementing joint projects according to the "Agreement on International Cooperation". Specialists not only in clinical, but also in general professional disciplines were more actively involved.
Despite the quarantine, in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, employees of both universities, skillfully using modern telecommunications technology, held a number of webinars and online meetings, gathered a large professional audience. The activity of clinical and theoretical departments of the higher educational institutions, namely, the departments of pediatric surgery with the course of IAPE (prof. V.U. Sataev) and philosophy (doc. O.G. Afanaseva) of BSMU, pediatric surgery of SamSMI (prof. Sh.A. Yusupov) and employees of the 2nd clinic of SamSMI (prof. J.A. Shamsiev) attracted the attention of the interested audience of specialists of clinical specialties. It should be noted that the geography of their participants (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Ufa, Obninsk, Perm, Ivanovo, Kursk, and Cheboksary) also expanded.
Thus, the result of active cooperation is the successful holding of webinars and online meetings, which includes lectures by Prof. V.U. Sataev, Doctor of Medical Sciences A.V. Vladzimirsky (Moscow), Associate Professor O.G. Afanaseva, Associate Professor S.A. Khasbiev. Besides, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, which implements the national project "Healthcare", was involved in the participation from the Russian side, where the experience on provision of medical organizations of the republican health care system with qualified personnel was presented to them.
It should be emphasized in summary that the leadership of SamSMI and BSMU clearly outlined further implementation of a complex of promising plans to enhance close mutually beneficial cooperation in education and science spheres between universities without stopping at the achieved goals.
