On 21st October of 2020, a ceremony of laying flowers at the foot of the monument to Alisher Navoi, the founder of the Uzbek literary language, took place in the Samarkand Cultural and Recreation Park of his name.
Uzbek, one of the oldest and richest languages, has become an undeniable source of spirituality and values of our people and has taken a firm place in the ongoing reform and renewal of the country.
The festive meeting was attended by poets and writers, scientific and cultural figures, representatives of educational institutions and the public, the Samarkand Regional Khokimiyat.
Representatives of the rectorate, faculty and students of the Samarkand State Medical Institute also took an active part in the festive event.
