SamSMI staff conducted a medical examination of the population of Nurabad district's mahallas.
At present, primary health care, disease prevention and early warning are the most important issues in the health care system. It is with the aim of helping to improve the provision of primary health care locally that a medical screening of the population was organized in the Nurabad district.
So, on 28 November 2020, more than 10 representatives of the teaching staff of the Samarkand State Medical Institute left for Nurabad district of Samarkand region to participate in the primary medical examination of the population organized jointly with the regional health department.
Thus, medical examination of the population of the meetings was carried out in the rural medical station "Olga" of the mahallas "Jom", "Girdikurgon", "Omandara", "Tegirmonboshi". Representatives of the population of these mahallas were able to obtain qualified consultations from a surgeon, pediatrician, oncologist, infectious disease specialist, urologist, obstetrician-gynecologist, otolaryngologist, therapist, neurologist, traumatologist and representatives of other narrow specialties.
At the same time as the medical check-up, representatives of the population were explained the measures to prevent and treat lung diseases, diabetes, oncology and cardiovascular diseases that are currently common, and it was noted that an active and healthy lifestyle is an essential prerequisite for preventing such diseases.
Finally, the Institute, together with the health department of the regional khokimiyat, has developed a plan to organise medical examinations of the population, with the involvement of staff from Samara State Medical Institute and other districts of Samarkand region. So, there is no doubt that the organisation of such events will make a significant contribution to early warning and timely treatment of various diseases among the population of Samarkand oblast districts.
