As part of academic mobility programmes, on 4 December 2020, the Samarkand State Medical Institute hosted a lecture and master class by Dr Ashish Mahendra, Professor at Chandra Dental College (Dept. of Oral pathology, Chandra dental College, 1/140, Vibhav Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Republic of India).
The Institute has set a priority task to attract students and teachers from other countries to the SamSMI educational process. So, about 400 international students from India and Pakistan have begun studying at the Institute since the beginning of the academic year at the Faculty of International Medical Education.
So, a master class by an Indian professor was held on the theme 'Structure of the Blood'. The lecture was attended by students and a lecturer from the Faculty of International Medical Education.
After the lecture, Professor Ashish Mahendra kindly answered all questions asked by the participants on the subject of the lecture and the features of medical education in Indian universities.
To sum up, it should be noticed that lectures and master classes by foreign scientists from the world's leading medical universities at SamSMI will be held on a regular basis.
