Celebration of The Day of Homeland Defenders at Samarkand State Medical Institute

  On January, 12, 2021 in honor of the 29th anniversary of formation of Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the holiday "January 14 - Day of defenders of the Homeland", a solemn meeting was held in the large assembly hall of Samarkand State Medical Institute. The festive event was attended by servicemen of the RUz under-graduate training school, military orchestra of the CMO, pupils of militarized group of preschool No. 121 and orphanage No. 1 of Samarkand, teachers, cadets of the Military Medical Training Department and students of Samarkand State Medical Institute.

  So, the solemn ceremony began with the presentation of the State Flag and the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Then, delivering the welcoming speech to the participants Rector of the Institute prof. J.A. Rizaev warmly congratulated all on the Defender of Motherland Day, noted the special place and role of the Military Department of the Institute in the patriotic education of students. On behalf of the leadership of the institute representatives of junior training school of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a military orchestra of the Central Military District, Pre-school #121 and orphanage #1, as well as teachers of the military-medical training of Samara State Medical University were presented commemorative gifts.
  During the creative part of the meeting, pupils of militarized group of preschool institution No. 121, and orphanage No. 1 delivered colorful performances with patriotic songs and national dances, and cadets of the institute's department presented their combat drill and weapons, and the exposition of junior training school of Uzbekistan Armed Forces attracted the interest of the participants. Performances by the Central Military District Band and a female student with the song "Young Lieutenant" also added to the festive mood of the participants.
