International School-Seminar on Practical and Methodological Assistance for Toxicologists

  On October 2 Samarkand State Medical Institute hosted International Toxicology School-Seminar on practical and methodical assistance on the theme "Toxic liver injury in acute poisoning and endotoxicosis". The partners of the Institute in organization of the International School are Research Institute named after I. Dzhanelidze (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care, Center for Professional Development of Medical Workers, Samarkand Branch of Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care (Uzbekistan).

  So, the welcome speeches to the participants and listeners were delivered by the Rector of SamSMI Prof. J.A. Rizaev and the Director of Samarkand Branch of Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care, PhD, B.A. Yangiev at the solemn opening of the international school in the large hall of the institute.

  The following presentations were made at the International School-Seminar – “Analysis of the structure of acute chemical poisonings in the Republic of Uzbekistan” by DSc, Prof. R.N. Akalaev (Tashkent, Uzbekistan); “Correction of metabolic disorders in treatment of alcoholic liver lesions” by DSc, Prof. Shilov V.V., Head of Chair of Toxicology, Extreme and Diving Medicine of Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov” (Moscow, Russian Federation); “Acute ethanol poisoning” by DSc, Lodyagin A.N. - Head of Clinical Toxicology Department, Research Institute named after I. Dzhanelidze (St. Petersburg, Russia); “General principles of intensive therapy of acute poisoning” DSc, Batotsirenov B.V. - chief researcher of the department of clinical toxicology of Research Institute of Emergency Medicine I. Dzhanelidze (St. Petersburg, Russia); “Acute fatty liver dystrophy in pregnant women: intensive therapy, obstetric tactics” by DSc, M.M. Matlubov, E.G. Khamdamova (Samarkand, Uzbekistan); “Toxic liver lesions in the Republic of Uzbekistan” by PhD, A.A. Stopnitsky - doctoral student at the scientific-clinical department of toxicology of Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care (Tashkent, Uzbekistan); “Intoxication syndrome in viral infection” by DSc, M.M. Matlubov (Samarkand, Uzbekistan); “Improvement of intensive therapy of alcoholic hepatitis” - Kh.Sh. Khozhiev - free research assistant of the scientific-clinical department of toxicology of the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care (Tashkent, Uzbekistan); “Acute hepatitis in coronavirus infection. Complication of the disease or consequences of pharmacotherapy” by PhD, A.A.Stopnitskiy - doctoral student of the scientific-clinical department of toxicology of RSCEMP (Tashkent, Uzbekistan); “Risk Factors and Peculiarities of Suicidal Behaviour of Men and Women in Exogenous Poisonings in the Republic of Uzbekistan” - A.A. Akalaeva, psychologist-conflictologist of RSCEMP, R.Kh. Khonbabaeva, suicidologist of Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). The presentations were followed by a lively discussion of the presentations and problems of acute poisoning, including in the region.

  It should be noted that international School-Seminar on practical and methodological assistance for toxicologists held at the Samarkand State Medical Institute will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of the field, the training of highly qualified personnel at the Institute, the introduction of medical science into the practical healthcare sector and, ultimately, to the improvement of medical care provided to the local population.
