The SamMI Master's Department was organized in accordance with the Law “On Education” and the National Program for the Training of Personnel of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 342 of July 12, 1999, and also on the basis of Order No. 136 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education “On permitting training in the specialties of the magistracy” of May 13, 1999.
The first admission of applicants to the subdivisions of the SamMI magistracy began in 2002 in 3 areas: pediatrics, surgery and obstetrics and gynecology. During this period, a total of 17 applicants were accepted.
During the existence of the department SamMI magistracy, it was headed by:
2002-2015 years –Yuldashev B.A.
2015-2017 years – Kurbaniyazov Z.B.
2017-2018 years – Davlatov S.S.
2018- to the present – Matlubov M.M.
In the current academic year, admission of applicants was carried out in 27 direction and a total of 80 students were admitted, 21 of them on a grant basis and 59 on a contract.
Currently, the total number of graduates is 1388.
The training takes place at advanced clinical facilities (1st and 2nd SamMI clinics, a children's multidisciplinary medical center, Samarkand branch of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Emergency Medical Care, etc.).

Magistracy, as it known, is a forge of scientific personnel. And our masters are highly educated, talented individuals from among the Fellows, individuals who have completed a bachelor degree with honors, activists.
A large number of graduate masters continue their research activities within the walls of our institute and in other advanced centers. Many of the graduate masters work in practical health care and hold leadership positions.
The personnel released at our base are highly appreciated not only in the Republic, but also abroad. Graduate masters of SamMI are invited to work on grants to the countries of near and far abroad.
