Based on supplement No. 2 to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 18.12. 2009, No. 319, “Clinical Residency Regulation”, in order to expand the knowledge and skills, clinical residents can be involved in scientific work (preparation of abstracts, thematic analysis and literature review, covera ge of certain provisions in medical practice, presentations at conferences, clinical testing of new drugs, etc.) carried out outside the individual plan for the preparation of a clinical resident.
The maximum training load of a clinical resident is set based on the monthly load of a doctor of the corresponding specialty. In addition, the clinical intern performs independent work. The amount of time spent on independent work includes two mandatory free night (evening) duty per month according to the schedule in the departments determined by its head.
The total amount of training load and preparation time is distributed as follows:
• up to 80% - for the study of basic and related specialties;
• up to 20% - for the study of related disciplines (pathology, pathophysiology, clinical pharmacology, etc.). The list of mandatory specialties and disciplines required for study by a clinical intern is provided by training programs for their preparation. Additional disciplines (foreign languages, computer courses, etc.) can be included in the curriculum for the training of clinical residents in the form of optional classes in the amount of hours of self-study.
