  In Uzbekistan, dermatovenerology began to actively develop from 1925-1926, especially in the post-war years. The outstanding representatives of the scientists of that time were: prof. Kartamyshiev A.I., Bozorov M.V., Pototskiy I.I., Akovbyan A.A. And etc.
The first Uzbek Scientist - dermatovenerologist was Professor K.S. Suleymanov. In 1944 he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis. Professor Mirakhmedov U.M. For a long time he headed the republican dermatovenerological service. He studied the effect of durant drugs of the penicillin series on the course of syphilis, applied the RIT reaction in practice. Professor R.A. Kapkaev Studied diagnostics, treatment and prevention of photodermatosis in Central Asia. The study of skin and venereal diseases in the Samarkand region is associated with the opening of the medical institute.
  In 1920, at the Faculty of Medicine of the Central Asian University, Associate Professor K.A. Dyakov became the founder of the Department of Dermatovenereology. In 1911 K.A. Dyakov defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic 'Excretion of mercury through the kidneys in the treatment of syphilis.' The scientist invented the “K” soap against scabies, which was successfully used during the Second World War. Under the guidance of prof. K.A. Dyakov in 1945 ass. Zotova ME defended her thesis on the topic 'Excretion of salicyl mercury through the kidneys in the treatment of syphilis.' In 1946, ass. Berdnikova M.D. She defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic 'Effects of silkworm waste products on the skin.' In 1958, graduate student H.H. Khodjaev defended his Ph.D. thesis on 'Treatment of neurodermatosis with the lagochilus plant.' In 1963, assistant Tesalov O.T. Defended her thesis on the topic “Treatment of neurodermatosis with drugs acting on the central nervous system.
  Since 1959, the first Uzbek scientist dermatovenerologist K.S. Suleimanov, he pays special attention to the training of local dermatovenerologists, becomes the scientific director of many graduate students. In 1967, K.S. Suleymanov defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic 'Etiopathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and secondary prevention of lupus erythematosus.' In 1970 he published a monograph on the topic 'Lupus erythematosus'. Under the guidance of prof. K.S. Sulaimonova ass. IN AND. Kazakova in 1968 defended her thesis on the topic 'Etiopathogenesis, pathogenetic treatment of vitiligo' in 1975, postgraduate student Kh.Sh. Shodiev defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic: 'Assessment of the pathogenetic treatment of vitiligo and its secondary prevention.'
  From 1973 to 1983, the department was headed by Professor F.I. Ibragimov Under his leadership, Associate Professor Kh.Sh. Shadiev continued his scientific work on his doctoral dissertation, ass. A.A. Rustamov and O.K. Zhuraeva develops the topic of pathogenetic treatment of vitiligo. They study some of the enzymatic features of the liver function.
  In 1983 to 2001, the department was headed by Professor Kh.I. Shadyev, Professor Kh.Sh. Shadyev was born on June 19, 1944 in the Kushrabat district of the Samarkand region. In 1962, he entered the medical faculty of SamMI, graduated with honors and entered the clinical residency at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases. In 1969 he entered graduate school. Under the guidance of prof. K.S. Suleymanov in 1975, he defended his Ph.D. thesis. During the management of prof. H.Sh. Shadyev was constant
Participant of scientific and practical conferences of the near and far abroad. In 1980 he won a bronze medal at VDNKh for his research work 'Treatment and prevention of allergic dermatoses.'
In 1991 H.Sh. Shadyev successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: 'Etiopathogenesis, clinic, treatment and prevention of allergic dermatoses in leather workers and karakul breeders.'
2001-2020 The department was headed by Abdullaev Davlat Mukumovich. Was born on September 3, 1958 in the city of Samarkand in a prosperous family. In 1975 he entered the medical faculty of SamMI and in 1981 successfully graduated from it. In 1081, he was sent as an intern for 2 years to the Scientific Research Institute of Immunology in Moscow. Until 1983-1989 he worked as an average scientist at the SamMI MITL. 1990 Scientific Research Institute.
  Immunology of the city of Moscow defended his Ph.D. thesis and was hired at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Samarkand Region. 1991-1999 he worked as an assistant at the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases, 1998 began working as an associate professor of the department. Since 2001 the head of the department has been working. Department. In his scientific activities he published 18 scientific articles, 2 educational and methodological manuals.
From 2020 to the present day, the Department of Dermatovenereology is headed by Ashirov Zakhid Fayazzhonovich. 2009-2011 Graduated from the clinical residency of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 2017 to the present day he has been working as the chief physician of the Samarkand Regional Dermatovenerologic Dispensary.


  Works on the clergy and enlightenment. A work plan for the clergy and enlightenment was drawn up at the department and approved by the department for clergy and enlightenment at the beginning of the year. Every week on Tuesday, according to interdepartmental instructions, our employees of the department are actively involved and students conduct hours 'Clergy and Enlightenment' of the instructions given. These lectures were borrowed from the newspapers Narodnoye Slovo, Turkestan and Zaravshan.


  Educational and methodical work at the department is organized in accordance with the educational regulatory documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to the regulatory documents, when studying dermatovenerology, a student at the department gets acquainted with applied clinical aspects, learns to work on equipment, master research methods, which he will later meet independently in practice. Practical classes at the department are held throughout the day. 3 hours of practical work, 2 hours of seminar discussion, 1 hour of student knowledge control. During the educational cycle at the department, students must pass an exam to acquire practical skills. Over the years, the staff of the department has developed 4 guidelines for senior students, residents of the magistracy and clinical residents.


  Over the past 3 years, the staff of the department have published 30 scientific papers, of which 10 are articles, mostly in VAK-peer-reviewed journals.
