  The department for monitoring the quality of education at the Samarkand State Medical Institute was organized on the basis of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 515 dated July 18, 2017 "On the organization of activities of the State Inspectorate for Quality Control of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
  The department today is a structural unit of the institute and organizes its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Law on Education", decrees and resolutions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as orders of the State Inspectorate for Quality Control of Education and Rector of the Samarkand State Medical Institute , as well as the “Regulations on the activities of the education quality control department of the SamMI” approved by the rector of the institute.
  The main goal of the department is to improve the quality of education in the institute and its structures, coordinate activities to improve the national and international rating of the institute, ensure that the quality of education in the institute complies with state educational standards and carry out organizational work to conduct monitoring of quality control in SamMI.
  Since 2013, in order to ensure the quality of higher education and its integration into the European and world educational space and for compatibility, comparability, recognition of educational programs and terms of study with those in higher medical educational institutions of developed countries of the world, for the first time among the universities of Uzbekistan, the educational process at Sammi organized on the principles of ECTS on a credit-modular system.
  In the Concept and Development Program of the SamMI for 2017-2030, created under the leadership of Rector Azamat Mukhitdinovich Shamsiev It is stated that the main priority is the high quality of education and the training of highly qualified doctors.

 The credit-modular system for the organization of the educational process is intended primarily to facilitate academic mobility and recognition of the results of previous studies in the framework of inter-university exchanges between different European countries.

  Also, 47 SamMI students studied in foreign universities under the program of academic mobility.

  In the academic year 2017-2019, 43 leading scientists of SamMI participated in projects of academic mobility in foreign universities, 69 leading scientists of professors of foreign universities conducted a master class and lectures at SamMI.

  Students from foreign countries study at the Institute’s foreign faculty, so in 2018 the first graduation of SamMI students from the Republic of Korea took place.
  The successes achieved at the institute for improving the quality of education and training highly qualified personnel are mainly related to the introduction of innovative modular and electronic teaching technologies in the educational process, the creation of appropriate information technology support for the educational process, and the introduction of independent objective and transparent methods for monitoring students' knowledge.

Educational resource

  All subjects are structured into modules and placed in electronic education system moodle.sammi.uz and intranet. sammi.uz. Samarkand Medical Institute invariably ranks first among the universities of Uzbekistan and the CIS countries in the ranking of educational sites.
  The information base of the SEA “moodle.sammi.uz” and “intranet.sammi.uz” is 4.0 terabytes. More than 35,900 electronic materials, 18,200 methodological developments, 5,400 lecture materials, 5,200 lecture presentations, 900 lecture presentations with video accompaniment, 18,700 practical exercises, about 2.5 million test questions, situational tasks and practical skills were created and placed in the system.

  The library book stock consists of more than 330,000 publications and is regularly updated with modern medical literature

More than 12,000 electronic versions of textbooks have been created.

A solid IT user base for SEA has been created at SamMI, both for students and teachers.

  All classrooms and lecture halls are equipped with modern multimedia equipment, more than 1,500 computers connected to the Internet are involved in the educational process (the number of students with 1/2 computers is the highest among Uzbek universities).

  Final modular controls, final State certification and licensed integrated exams Step 1, 2, 3 are conducted in the Test Center of the Institute (in 5 classrooms for 300 seats) online, which ensures transparency and objectivity in assessing students' knowledge and also allows you to assess the level of teaching quality teachers of their disciplines in the departments.

  Based on the principles of a modular system for organizing the educational process, classes are conducted according to the Z-learning system. According to the latter, already in junior courses, when studying theoretical disciplines, the student gets acquainted with their applied clinical aspects, learns to work on equipment, master the research methods, which he will later meet in the clinic.

  For high-quality mastering of practical clinical skills of students, a simulation training center equipped with modern phantoms, dummies and computer programs was created at the institute.
