EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL WORK
Training facilities of the faculty: SamMI clinic, Samarkand branch of RSSCEMC, city hospitals of practical health care, polyclinics of Samarkand, SMU of Samarkand region.
One of the most important tasks of the faculty is the constant individual work of teachers and professors with students. It consists in in-depth mastering of medical disciplines by attracting students to the research work of studying foreign languages and increasing computer literacy.
The teaching staff of the departments of the medical faculty meets the requirements of State standards.
Preparing a doctor in the specialty of “medical affairs” is carried out in two stages: preclinical preparation (at 1.2 and 3 courses) and clinical preparation (at 4.5 and 6 courses). In younger courses, students learn the theoretical foundations of a future profession, however, from the first year of study they begin to get acquainted with the clinic (nursing courses for surgical and therapeutic patients, industrial practice, general surgery courses and propaedeutics of internal diseases). In senior courses, students switch to a cyclic form of training (clinical departments). In clinical departments, the learning process is based on the principles of continuity, and at each level, a form of student activity is modeled sequentially, close to the professional activity of a doctor. Particular attention is paid to increasing student activity. This is achieved by the fact that the emphasis in building the educational process is on the personal supervision of patients in the clinic.
Work with students in the departments is carried out in full accordance with the State educational standard. Starting from the 2013-2014 academic year, a modular distance learning system has been introduced in our university.
A licensed integrated test exam has also been introduced - STEP 1 and STEP 2.
"Step 1" - an exam in general science disciplines, which is compiled after studying the basic fundamental disciplines that make up the test exam "Step 1". The test exam will take place on the 3rd year (future doctors, dentists).
The procedure for conducting licensed integrated exams is based on the current regulatory framework and is compiled taking into account the international experience of the National Council of Medical Examiners (NBME, USA), the Medical Association of Great Britain (GMC UK), the US Testing Center (ETC GRE-test), the Association of Medical Colleges of the USA (MCAT ), The UK Testing Center (OET Center) as well as the three-step exam for medical licensing in the USA (USMLE).
Forms of conducting current control of knowledge and skills are: control of students 'knowledge and skills by evaluating students' presentations at seminars; students performing independent work, students writing educational case histories, abstracts, solving situational problems; participation in interactive games, diagnostics by objective examination of the patient.
The forms of final control are computer testing and the OSCE.
Constantly updated test current and final control; The content of the programs is being adjusted.
At educational conferences, training plans, programs and thematic plans are discussed and approved, recommendations for the publication of manuals, improvement of the rating system, issues of current monitoring of attendance and knowledge of students, calendar and thematic plans of the departments are discussed.
Existing work programs in the disciplines are constantly updated, reprinted and improved.
Interdisciplinary integration of the teaching of disciplines is carried out in accordance with the new curriculum. The final state certification of graduates involved professors and associate professors.
The work on the development of tests for their use in the educational process and exams is carried out in all departments. Test questions of current control (input control) are used, the final control is control over the assimilation of theoretical material and the practical part of the lesson in several ways. Tests are available on all topics of the courses. Improvement work is ongoing.
At the departments of the faculty new information technologies are being introduced to provide an information database. All departments are equipped with the latest computers and have the ability to access the Internet.
Technical training tools are constantly being upgraded: a video library and an electronic library are constantly being updated; new mannequins for training students of cardiopulmonary resuscitation were acquired and new classes were equipped. All training facilities are equipped with multimedia projectors.
So, the presence of prenatal diagnostic ultrasound laboratories at the departments of obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, internal medicine, allows you to familiarize yourself with the features of hemodynamics, assess the prospects of using dopplerometry; in the educational process at the departments of obstetrics and gynecology, students get acquainted with modern methods: hysteroresectoscopy, ultrasound miniscopy, the “phantom course” is also highlighted in the same.
In the learning process, new modifications of operations, modern endoscopic operations are actively used.
State certification consists of two stages: the 1st stage is the assessment of clinical knowledge (through test control) - the 2nd is the assessment of clinical skills (through control of the ESCE).
Graduates of the faculty carry out professional activities in healthcare institutions of various ownership forms, healthcare management bodies, vocational educational institutions, research institutions, social protection institutions, etc. Further postgraduate specialization in residency in 34 specialties and master's programs in 28 directions is possible.
The staff of the clinical departments of the Faculty of Medicine are actively involved in research work. The scientific and technical level of ongoing research has a high methodological and modern level.
Of great importance and a significant contribution to the development of medical science is the research work of the faculty of the faculty on the issue of "Maternal and Child Health". In this case, regional features are taken into account, in accordance with them, diagnostics, prevention, treatment of women and children are carried out. Systematically conducted studies find practical application and improve the quality of medical and preventive measures.
More than 10 teachers and teachers improved their skills in large centers abroad, many teachers participated in major international conferences, where they attracted attention by the relevance of their presentations. The research work of the faculty is reflected in international, national and local publications.
The participation of students in the work of student scientific circles is an integral part of the educational process in the work of the faculty. In which more than 150 students work. Materials of their research work are annually reported at the conference of young scientists of the university, and the best works are delegated to inter-university scientific conferences, from where we get 10-15 prizes annually. This allows the dean’s office, upon graduation to undergraduate education, to orientate students about the appointment of scholarship holders, to conduct competitive selection for recommendations on scientific work, postgraduate studies, internships abroad, and the like.
SPIRITUAL AND EDUCATIONAL WORK OF THE TREATMENT FACULTY

Each group of the faculty is assigned a curator, who is appointed from among experienced teachers. Under the guidance of curators, students of the faculty participate in social events, perform amateur performances, organize cultural activities - visit historical monuments and sights of Samarkand, visit theaters and museums.
